Topgrade Secondary School (TSS) was established by Chief (Mrs.) L.E. Fowler on the 10th of October 1994 at 6, Adisa Bashua Street, Off Adelabu Street, Surulere, Lagos. TSS is exclusively a day co-educational institution. The concept of TSS is based on the fact that private participation in secondary school education is the only way to supplement the government’s efforts in the country. TSS not only provides a balanced education which prepares students to meet the challenges of university life, but plays a unique role in preparing children today for a successful tomorrow.

Chief (Mrs.) Leila Fowler is an accomplished woman, whose vision and determination have made her an icon in the educational sector. Topgrade Secondary School was established by Chief (Mrs.) Leila Fowler on the 10th of October, 1994. Her vision for Topgrade Secondary School is based on the interaction and integration of the male and female child in a disciplined environment, established to promote healthy competition, leadership opportunities and academic excellence. The Yeye Mofin of Lagos, Chief (Mrs.) Leila Fowler, a lawyer by profession, entered into education because of her love for youths and her passion for excellence in education. She is also, the Proprietress/Administrator of Vivian Fowler Memorial College for Girls, a prestigious girl’s college dedicated to preparing girls to be successful leaders of tomorrow. Chief (Mrs.) Fowler is a perfectionist who believes in hard work and discipline nurtured in love. (Chief Mrs.) Fowler has set a high standard in education as she continues to lead Topgrade Secondary School in its motto: “In Quest of Excellence”.

GENERAL ADMINISTRATION
THE PRINCIPAL
The office of the principal is open to all parents, staff, students and visitors to the school. The office of the principal addresses with a high sense of responsibility all enquiries relating to academics and other issues.
THE VICE PRINCIPAL ACADEMICS
The office of the Vice Principal closely monitors the cognitive, affective and psychomotor skills of the students and is always available to give assistance to parents/guardians/sponsors relating to academic issues.
THE OFFICE OF THE SCHOOL SUPERVISOR
The Supervisor’s office is a bridge between the Junior and Senior students and enhances communication between school management and teachers.
THE HEADS OF DEPARTMENTS
The various heads of departments manage the various departments with a high degree of efficiency and promote new ideas geared toward the school’s goal of academic excellence and understanding.

History
TOPGRADE SECONDARY SCHOOL was established by Chief (Mrs) Leila E. Fowler on the 10th october 1994. The school is presently located at 4/7, Adedemola Ojomo Close, Surulere. The administator of the school is Mrs Rosemary B. Fowler. The school was approved for secondary education by the Lagos State Government in 2000. Presently, student are prepared for the following exams. WASSCE; NECO SSCE; IGCSE; SAT; TOEFL; *NECO JSCE; LAGOS STATE JSCE.

Entrance examinations into Junior Secondary School are conducted in April & May every year for children between the ages of 10 and 11. A student may also be admitted into SS 1 provided such a student has sat for and passed his/her Junior Secondary School Certificate Examinations
